COVID-19 Practice Suspension

As of July 2020 we are still on-hold for regular practice.  The restrictions regarding contact sports such as judo make it impractical to resume instruction.  Students  should continue exercising on their own until we can safely return to our workouts.

USA Judo is working with the new US Olympic & Paralympic Museum in Colorado Springs to have several judo-related activities take place on Saturday, October 24, 2020, including the recognition of Judo Olympians and Paralympians from the region. This will align with the lead up to World Judo Day on October 28 (Jigoro Kano’s birthday), the opening of the USOPM, and bringing together the Judo community to also introduce our sport to others.

In addition to a ceremony honoring local Olympians and Paralympians, there will be judo demonstrations and a virtual presentation by Jean Kanokogi about her mother, Rusty, and the first Women’s World Judo Championships which will celebrate its 40th anniversary this November. Activities will start around 10:30am with the Olympian & Paralympian Ceremony scheduled for 1:00pm. Admission to the museum is 20% off with the attached flyer and group discounts of 30% are available for groups of 15 or more. Please share this information and the attached flyer with your dojo, family, friends and teammates.
